Drill Team

The purpose of drill is to enable a commander or noncommissioned officer to move his unit from one place to another in an orderly manner; to aid in disciplinary training by instilling habits of precision and response to the leader’s orders; and to provide for the development of all cadets in the practice of commanding troops. JROTC Drill Team provides cadets the opportunity to compete in Army JROTC Drill Competitions.  The goal for our cadets is to train and compete in drill competitions at any level.  Supervisors and cadets conduct safe, rigorous, physical standards in practice and competition.

Raiders

The purpose of raiders is to enhance teamwork, leadership, and fast decision making skills through various timed obstacle courses during the Raider Competition. JROTC Raider Team promotes positivity, team building, trust, discipline, and leadership. The goal for our cadets is to train and compete in the annual Raider Competition  at Fort Dix. We compete in five events: rope bridge, physical fitness competition, long distance run, rucksack run, and the stretcher run.

Color Guard

The JROTC Color Guard is one of the most important functions of a JROTC unit. It represents JROTC and the U.S. Army to the general public. Instructors will insure that their Color Guard is representative of the best their unit has to offer in keeping with established military traditions and standards.

Purpose: To establish a parish wide standard procedure for selection, training, appearance and performance of Color Guard teams.

Academic Team

The purpose of the Academic Team is to assist cadets in enhancing their ability to learn and comprehend new information on a variety of topics such as mathematics, science, history, art, and other general knowledge.  It is meant to showcase the best and the brightest cadets that our battalion has to offer.
